Statement

My goal is to produce functional objects of wood that are pleasing to the eye and hand.

 

Methods

I use a combination of hand and power tools to produce wooden objects with simple lines and a minimum of ornamentation. I use mostly domestic hardwoods with exposed joinery and hand rubbed finishes. Increasingly, I work in collaboration with my wife, Sue Ireland, who provides decoration and inserts.
